Well, well, well…what a week it was last week.
As a small boutique company production company still only a couple of years old we work long hours for little (and in some cases no) pay so it’s always pretty surprising (if not blog worthy) when a week comes along where not one but TWO projects are screening in the same week. I can’t tell you how many summers I’ve spent hunched over my computer editing, converting, uploading or making urgent 911 calls to my more experienced editor friends hoping for a technological bail out. Last week, not unlike Halley’s Comet probably won’t happen for another 75-76 years so I thought I’d share a quick wrap-up of our Sociable week in pictures.
Ghostly Encounters
We’re doing a new web series & we’re pretty stoked about it. Check our brand new teaser here and let us know what you think:
Vancouver International Women in Film Festival
We are still buzzing from the Vancouver premiere of @Afterpartymovie on March 8th (International Women’s Day) at @WIFTV. All of the usual suspects were in attendance but I was especially stoked to have our choreographer @JoelSturrock in the house. @EllieHarvie moderated our Q&A and it was AWESOME!
Big thanks to all of the festival organizers especially Carolyn & Carla.
Canadian Screen Week
As some of you may know The True Heroines (the web series I direct, Nick writes and produces & Ali stars in) was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Digital Series Fiction. We didn’t win (congrats to our friends over at Space Janitors) but we sure had fun! I loved spending the week with my other partners in crime over at True Heroines Entertainment. For a full list of winners click here.
Big thanks to Clutch PR & Narces for providing all of us ladies (Jovanna, Paula, Fiona and moi) with our beautiful red carpet attire. Ali was wearing a dress by Celia Krithariote & she was styled by the amazing Lindsay Zir.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time!
