Our Whistler Film Festival Wrap Up

I know, I know.  The Whistler Film Festival was 3 weeks ago –  I’m a naughty blogger!

But here we are December 27th and I’m ready to share! Okay so, Whistler truly is “Canada’s Coolest Festival” (click here for WFF press release confirming this fact) and we have a lot to discuss.

But first, I want to begin by thanking our incredible festival sponsors: SIP Soda Co, Driftwood Brewry, Therapy Vineyards, Eristoff Vodka, Maureen’s Natural Foods, The Candid Confectioner, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Gentle Fawn and  Left of Houston.

We would have been naked and hungry without our sponsors & so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity.

THANK YOU TO:
SIPsoda for being our Official Non-Alcoholic sponsor of the festival.  This is the 3rd time we have been lucky enough to work with SIP and Jennifer Martin and we couldn’t be more grateful.  My personal favourite flavour is the Rosemary Lime!
– Driftwood for sponsoring us again with their incredible local beer.  The Fat Tug IPA was definitely a hit with the Whistler crowd.
Therapy Vineyards for their delicious Freud’s Ego 2010 and Freudian Sip blends.  Our guests were also treated to a glass of sparkling Fizzio Therapy Blanc upon arrival.  A very swanky and delicious touch!
Eristoff Vodka for making our party FUN.  If you were were wondering why it tastes so good, it’s because it’s made from 100% pure grain, distilled as part of a three-step process and charcoal filtered to create a clean, smooth taste.
Maureen’s Natural Foods for her delicious and healthy late night snacks!  We served up her 100% vegan hotpockets at midnight & people couldn’t get enough.   Maureen is so incredible because she doesn’t use any artificial additives or preservatives in her products.
The Candid Confectioner for providing their incredible handmade chai caramels for our party.  I am totally addicted.  I’m serious.
BCBGMAXAZRIA for dressing Michelle and I for our fancy Red Carpet appearances.
and last but not least,
Gentle Fawn & Left on Houston for keeping me cozy in the most amazing coats and sweaters.
Check out this ET Canada clip to see my fav coat in action (whilst eating a Beavertail).

OUR MOVIE (!!!)

We had two sold out screenings for our World Premiere!  It was absolutely thrilling to hear people (a real, live audience) laughing and being moved by the story of Afterparty and we are so grateful to the outstanding Whistler Film Festival team: Shauna, Paul, Angie & Ellie for programming us and making this a festival experience we will NEVER forget!  Whistler truly is my favourite film festival.  If you have never been – book your dance card for next year (Dec 3-7, 2014) because it just keeps getting better.

OUR PARTY: Was off the hook.  Fondly referred to as “The Mansion Party”, if you missed it – you missed out.  Don’t fret my pet – we’ll do it again next year.

We were lucky enough to have the fabulous photographer Gail Stephan capturing some of the mischief.  Check out her flickr and fb page to see more of her work.

We also had Christopher James Guy doing our photo wall/ “In Highschool I…” pics for us.   See the full album here.

THANK YOU: TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!!! for working both hard and cheerfully getting us ready for the Mansion Party.  We love you!!! And we also want to give big props to Morgan and Mieka at The MPR Firm for the incredible Whistler press coverage!  Couldn’t have done it without you industrious and glamorous women.

CONGRATS: To all of our deserving friends who took home awards at the Gala on Sunday morning.

Until next year – which is in 5 days,

Stay Sociable (and keep warm)

xo
